Needs glare filter
Very nice packaging and neat install, very discrete. Downside is that there is much glare/reflection. It does not have a glare filter available as an option. I chose this over the A119s as it is a bit more modern (micro rather than mini USB). Screen glare is affecting video making it unclear. Have tried in other parts of windscreen and this is the best I can get. Blue band is a sun strip which means that the camera is invisible from the outside. Remote button to 'snap' incidents is excellent feature, when pressed it stores the previous 5 secs and the next 5 secs of video. App is well designed. I used a 1Gb card to start with and that quickly filled and errored. Now have a 32GB class 10 card which means that it doesn't need to be thought about. Cables are routed behind trim to the glovebox and am powering it on the USB cable (XC90) so all is hidden away. There is a new model (mini2p) that has just been released.

Top quality footage
I originally purchased a Thinkware F50 to use as a rear view cam. It doesn't have a screen or wifi app and there was a lot of messing about trying to get it aligned as I wanted. Once it was aligned and I went for a drive, I viewed the footage and it wasn't as clear as I was expecting. I did more research and found the DDPai Mini2 dashcam. It arrived the following day and I fitted it to the rear windscreen of my car. It was easy to line up using the wifi app. I went for a drive along the same route that I'd taken with the F50 and then viewed the footage. I was really impressed - the footage is clear with vehicles and number plates very visible although I have not tried it out at night yet.The following are big plus points -1. Awesome picture quality (Daytime)2. Good app for Android phones.3. Easy setting up due to the app.4. A very useful remote button that can be placed anywhere inside the car and can be used to take a snapshot, which includes up to 30 seconds video. I imagine that this will be very useful if a vehicle is tailgating you on the motorway etc.I haven't given the Minicam2 five stars for the following reasons -1. The camera has to be permanently stuck to the windscreen via a sticky pad. I would prefer it if a seperate mounting plate was included.2. There doesn't seem to be any DDPai system to enable viewing and saving of footage on a Windows laptop. The Android app worked very well for me but the images are small on the phone.3. The power lead is a bit short and I struggled to keep it hidden on its route from the camera to my rear seat power point. All in all, the DDPai Minicam2 is a very big improvement on the Thinkware F50. I will update when I do a nightime drive test.

Very good overall build quality
Very good overall build quality, not your average Chinese product. The image is not as crisp as with a GoPro, for instance, but the form factor is great. I had an issue with downloading videos from the cam, but after a quick reset everything works fine. Good customer service from the guys at DDpai - they replied my emails within hours trying to help sort out the problem before I figured out a quick reset would do it. The app could use some tweaks but overall I'm quite happy. I ordered a separate OBD2 to micro-USB cable to keep wires out of sight.

Recommended.
Very small and unobtrusive unit. Looks a little cheap but looks ok when fitted slightly above rear view mirror. I fitted it to a Ford C-max and the cable was a more or less perfect length. The video quality is very good, better than I expected. I do think I may possibly get The polarizing filter as there is slight window glare. The remote button works well and is a very good idea. The app is good, it worked on my Leagoo M8 pro phone but was not comparable with my Samsung tablet. I did buy a four way USB socket also, to accommodate the dash cam, Sat Nav and 2 phone charging cables. All in all, I can't really fault this dash cam at this price.

Very impressive dash cam, well made and great value
One week into owning this dash-cam and I am very impressed with it. It has a very simple, but sturdy design which is non-obtrusive, comes with all the cables that you need to set it up and the accompanying software (on your phones' app store) works suprisingly well.I spent a long time hunting around on Amazon for a good dash cam and finally settled on this one as:- It was a good price- The mount does not rely on a suction cup and is short (meaning that there is very little room for flex) so the camera is solidly mounted to the car, minimising shaking- There is no screen to distract you (many dash cams have a screen that you have to turn off manually every time)- Good quality image sensor (from Sony)- The bigger brother to this unit (the DDPai M6+) is very highly rated ([...])Installation:I was worried that I might have to hard-wire this camera to my car, however I thought I would give it a go first. The camera comes with a very long USB cable that is just long enough in my car (2016 Ford Focus) to reach the power socket under the arm rest. I routed the cable around the top of the windscreen (using the supplied sticky clips - which are great) and then I tucked the cable down through the door pillar trim and around the bottom of the glove box. The camera also comes with a very convenient 12 volt socket to 2-way USB adaptor which I leave plugged in at all times. As my car turns off this socket approximately 20 minutes after the car has been turned off, it gives me some form of parking protection as well.Usage:To get videos off the camera, you simply have to be in range. Once you've installed the application on your smart phone (Android for me), you can connect to the camera using WiFi in the app and then you can rewind through the recent footage until you get what you want. Very easy to use and much simpler than taking the SD-card out, or rewinding on a tiny screen on the device.I was also pleasantly surprised by the solid build quality of this unit which gives me hope that it should be working in years to come - unlike many of its competitors.
