Unique Features make Great Value.
I've used dash cams for about 5 years now in all our family vehicles, from an expensive top of the line GPS cam to a cheapo one that overheated and broke within months because of battery issues. This particular camera doesn't use internal batteries, so that's one problem taken cared of. It uses capacitors. It earned 5 stars for several reasons. Daytime picture quality is excellent, and nighttime is also very good. That's where the rubber meets the road. Picture quality. The "form factor" or shape and size is also a plus, being very discreet as opposed to cameras with even the smallest screens. It can be discreetly placed as a front (behind rear view mirror) or a rear facing camera. One unique feature is the push button remote that you can engage by simply pressing when you want an "incident" captured and saved. Other cameras have the same feature, but not through a paired remote. You have to physically touch the camera and press the right button. Try that while driving on the highway in a stressful situation. With the remote button conveniently mounted near your steering wheel, you can accomplish the task without taking your eyes off the road. One other feature that I really like is the parking mode where it takes time lapse photos and splices them into a video presentation. It serves as an extra security camera for me since I park the vehicle on our driveway facing the street. It pretty much keeps a recording of everything that happens while you're parked. To prevent battery drain, make sure you also buy a "hard wire kit" which are really inexpensive. And while on the subject of installation, you might also consider getting "add a circuit fuse tap" for a professional installation. They're also very inexpensive online, but to make sure it fits your particular vehicle, you might want to buy this one locally. Got mine from AutoZone for about twice the price online, but the fit was perfect. I didn't mind paying the few extra bucks.Reminder that this camera doesn't have a screen, so you need to download an app in order to configure and watch videos. It uses wifi, but downloading "incidents" from the camera to the app takes a long time. So I just take the card to my PC and do what I have to do there. I'm pretty adept at removing and inserting micro sd cards, but you have to be careful because the spring can be tricky and your card might end up flying off. You have to do this because the camera is "permanently" mounted by tape, unlike suction cup or magnetic mounts where you can actually take the camera inside. By the way, I'm using a 64G Samsung card and it is perfectly compatible.

Good dash cam with some minor issues
First, customer service was excellent. I highly recommend Winpal.Second, I'll go over some issues which are great and some that are not so great:I thought the 2k video quality would be better. It's a bit grainy, especially at night. To be fair, it's on pair with other dash cams in this price range. It's not bad by any means, but it's not top of the line either. I wish there was a 1080p 60fps option, but there isn't. Other than that my issues are mostly with the DDPai app, not the camera. The app is not very intuitive to use. I personally don't care for the 'social' feature of sharing videos. That's not what I need a dash cam for. Unfortunately this is the main feature and the app seems to be designed around it, everything else is secondary. The live preview does not work in iOS (I'm currently using iOS 11.4.1 on iPhone 8). The camera records just fine and the playback features are great. Hopefully the live preview issue will be addressed in a future update. I especially like that you can edit the video in the app, so you can select how much of it you want to save / download. Unfortunately the WiFi connection is slow, so expect to sit there and wait for a while if you're downloading longer videos directly to your phone. Probably best to take the micro sd card and use it on your computer or you can get a card reader that plugs into your phone and edit the video that way. The lens is not entirely distortionless. You still get that bending effect, but probably to a lesser degree compared to other dash cams. This camera runs on a capacitor, not a battery, which is supposed to help in high temperatures. So far everything works fine, even in 90+ degree heat. Overall it's a good little dash cam, especially for the price. I think some firmware and software updates could make it great in the future.

Money's worth? - probably not
Pros: Easy setup, relatively inexpensive, decent picture qualityCons: Two months in and unit is stating to randomly not power on or not connect with phone App.Other: I was considering a second unit for another vehicle but will look something else.

Cannot recommend. Unreliable
Purchased this in August 2018, so this is a long term review.I purchased this because I don't need a dashcam with a screen - we've had those before, and in the Utah summer heat they literally just melt. So I was looking for a dashcam without a screen.I found one; the DDPai Mini2P WiFi Dash Cam.Unfortunately, it's also without any useful function. You can't watch what the camera is seeing through the app on an iPhone (neither a 6S nor an 8 work). You can't look at the videos outside the camera, because when you put the card into another machine, it says that the card is corrupt and cannot be read. Put it back into the dashcam, and it starts initializing the card again - losing anything that was previously on the card before you took it out.The images it sends to the phone app are exactly that. Images. You won't be getting much video out of it. But that's OK, because the images are recorded at completely random points. I had a near miss today, that I wanted to review on the card - but the camera had not recorded anything since the day before yesterday (when it was parked at a garage) and today - when I pressed the button as a test on the way home, after the incident.I'm in the market for another three dashcams. Let's make that four dashcams, because this one is headed for the bin. I can't trust it, and trust is the #1 requirement in a dashcam for me.

Nice dashcam, best option for me at this price point
I was looking for something small and with wifi. At this price point and with all of its features I feel like this is the best option. I havent seen anything else comparable . Its small and discrete and working great. Like others stated you have to turn off mobile data to connect to the camera. I have no problem tapping my mobile data icon on my phone everytime i want to connect to the camera. Thats a very small price to pay for the convenience of having the ability to quickly retrieve a picture or clip from the camera. I like the dashcam so much I just ordered another one.
