I was contacted by a rep from VilcomeDirect (Yoyo) and was asked if they could do something to resolve my issue with the product. He stated that VilcomeDirect has a policy of 100% customer satisfaction and he wanted to ensure I was satisfied. He offered a refund or a exchange with another product.I decided to replace the converter with a multi-port USB hub. This arrived today and works perfectly on all my devices.So I am changing my rating to 5 Stars because of Yoyo's excellent customer service!I will definitely be purchasing from VilcomeDirect in the future!This product was a waste of money! I got it to use with my older Dell laptop to connect to my older tv with 1 HDMI port.Windows would recognize when it was plugged in but it would not show a second screen in the display settings. I tried all the available resolutions but the TV would only show "Invalid configuration".I tried it on my 55" Panasonic tv but it didn't show the TV as a display either!Now it did work with my Asus 23" computer monitor but that's not what I needed it for!

I order 2 and 1 came dead on arrival, but the other one has been working great, they have an aluminum housing and feel sturdy. I am currently using it on a 32" Sanyo tv and it works great.

It works with my laptop but not my PC. Unfortunately I'm not tech savy enough to tell you if it's a product defect or computer problem.

I was able to get my wife's Dell laptop which had a VGA output connected to my Dell 27" flat screen so she could work better from home on the large screen. It also allows the sound to play through the flat screen's speakers.

On 32” Samsung curved monitors doesn’t use whole screen cuts off on both sides also colors are off.

The adapter does not properly pass on information obtained via HDMI from the monitor back to the PC, so it is often necessary to manually force the resolution to get it to work. Even then, the image sometimes does not fill the entire size of the target display (even though it is set to the display's native resolution). Also, sometimes monitor will not wake up from sleep/standby mode. Works OK as a temporary solution, but would not recommend for anything serious.

This product was easy to install and easy to use. I purchased this product to connect my computer to my TV. Having the USB to power the converter to take a VGA signal to HDMI signal.

Need for my laptop since the screen on it is busted. Now I can use it to do stuff I need to do for a while. The audio will take a while to connect to the tv because of the device installation take a while.
