Works well for Nintendo 64 streaming
I bought this so that I could speedrun an N64 game which sometimes requires pinpoint accuracy (Pokémon Puzzle League). This device WILL introduce a tiny bit of delay (A few milliseconds, at most). It isn't really noticeable for the most part, but it was enough to mess with my muscle memory and cause me to some of those speedrun tricks. My solution was to buy an AV cable splitter and send one end into this device, with the other end going into an old CRT TV. I sent the HDMI output into my Elgato capture card for showing on stream. This allows me to play the game with no latency while still having the game captured in OBS!One other note is that this device will also STRETCH the output of any 4:3 video that goes through it. This will do things like cause circles to look more like ovals. Personally, I unstretched the image manually in OBS (this device can upscale the resolution to 720p or 1080p, so I set the resolution to 1440x1080, which is the 4:3 equivalent to 1080p).So that's my use case. While it took a bit of finagling to get it working well, it DOES work great! As for a less technical use case, this did the job well of simply letting me play my N64 on my HD TV! It also worked well with my PS2 and Wii (I recommend setting the Wii into Widescreen mode in the settings if you're going to use this. To combat the image stretching issue).Overall, I would recommend this device. For the price point, it does what you'd expect it to rather well. It may not work perfectly on its own if you were hoping to use it with an existing HD capture card, but if you just want to play retro games on your modern TV, this is for you!

Works Well!
Needed one of these to hook up our old Wii to our new smart TV, which doesn't have the correct plugs anymore. Worked just fine, not problems with sound or images. Only thing is you have to plug in both the HTMI and a USB. I thought that was weird because I was thinking of it like the dongle convertor iPhones use for headphones. But either way, it worked so that's all that matters to me!

Perfect Solution - New Life to Old DVD/VCR Player
My new large screen TVs do not have RCA input. My old DVD/VCR player with only RCA output has been laying around for a couple of years unused. Purchased this converter, with low expectations. As others have mentioned, this does not come with a USB AC adaptor. No problem for me as I have lots laying around unused. Plugged in the USB cable to the converter, as well as to a USB AC adaptor and plugged that into AC power strip. There's a small switch on the converter to select 720P or 1080P. I set this to 1080P. Plugged the RCA cables from the DVD/VCR player into this converter, then plugged a HDMI cable into the converter, and also to an open HDMI port on my Samsung HDTV. That was all it took. Worked immediately. Audio and video are perfectly sync'd. I can't say that the video quality is perfect, but I honestly don't know if that's the converter, or my ancient DVD/VCR player (I suspect it's the DVD/VCR). However, this converter works better than I expected and I am 100% happy with this purchase. Exceeded my expectations in quality, simplicity, and functionality. For a very low price.

works only with external power out of a VCR
pretty good solution for converting old VHS to digital format (HDMI) but you may have an issue if the unit is not powered externally. No mention of this in minimal instructions. Initially, the record light would not change from green to red to indicate record mode,on the other device needed to complete/capture the conversion ( I used a AGPtek HD Video Capture unit) until I found an older 5v 1.? ma power unit for an older android phone to power the AV to HDMI converter. Seems to work now but just started and may update later. Caution, the 8 GB thumb drive i'm using to capture is getting pretty warm as I type this review.

Works great!
I bought this converter so I can play my Wii on my 65" UHD TV. Works like a charm and I couldn't be happier. I do want to point out something that should be obvious, but after reading the reviews prior to purchase, it apparently needs mentioning. First the sound, picture and screen quality are not only subject to the converter's ability to do its job, but also a reflection of the device it's converting from. RCA (yellow, red and white) is old technology, and the items that still use it are, well, old technology. Casting what my Wii can manage onto a New Samsung 65" 4K UHD TV therefore is NOT going to be UHDTV. So yeah, the edges aren't as smooth and crisp as one gets with HD, let alone UHD. Not as noticeable with the sound, but I'm sure there'd be the same discrepancy if I had the matching surround sound to go with the TV. All this doodad does is convert the info/resolution the Wii puts out so my modern TV can understand it and display it for my enjoyment. It cannot add info/resolution. At anyrate, it does everything I wanted it to do and looks/sounds great for what it is. I'm now joyfully, Zumba-ing in the privacy of my livingroom. Plus you can't beat the price!

Works in full screen mode.
I purchase this adaptor along with another type of adaptor to connect a PS2 to a Vizio TV.The other type of adaptor plugged directly into the PS2 and provided an HDMI socket for the TV. It worked only in 4:3 mode regardless of the settings in the PS2, the TV or the games themselves.I also could not get PS1 games to play at all using the other adaptor. .This adaptor from Vilcome on the other hand, works as expected with regards to screen size and the ability to play both PS1 and PS2 games through the PS2 console. The picture quality is much clearer (no static) than with the OEM adaptor that connected to the TV via the antenna port.I'm very pleased with the product.

Solved my Wii Fit lag issue
After buying a new HD TV we found we were short an RCA input for our Wii Fit console. Tried hooking it up thru an Aux input of a DVR we are still using, but it caused a large time lag between the Wii and the television sound and audio, to the point of making the Wii useless. This converter eliminated that issue entirely. Used the usb port on the back of the Wii to supply the converter power, plugged the RCA outputs into the converter, ran an hdmi cable to the HD tv and we were in business. No need to adjust the tv video input settings to game mode or anything. It works great and we are delighted to be back in business with no hassle.
