Hydréa London Military Hair Brush With Black Boar Bristle

I love the way a military brush fits the palm and gives great control. The bristles in this one are on the firm side, but I like it - try saying that without feeling a bit of a perv! Seriously, it's a wonderful, almost exfoliating, wake up for the scalp, as well as dealing firmly with the coarser parts of my beard. Think along the lines of de-thatching a lawn rather than smoothing the nap on a billiard table. For me, it's a treat for the scalp.

I've been using this brush daily for the last 3 months and I'm impressed with the results of what I can do styling wise, as previously I was somebody that relied on using plastic combs which have their limits. I'm happy to say that none of the varnish has faded or chipped off and whilst a few bristles occasionally do fall out, I still get the impression it's going to last a long time. It needs cleaning occasionally to remove finger prints, dandruff and hairs that are caught in the bristle pad. I think the high price tag might be justified as its high quality and looks very stylish. It would certainly make a great gift for adolescent boys or men.

Love it, bristles are nice n hard

This was a present for my son as he keeps using mine. It's a little stiff out of the box but I'm sure it will wear in over time. A good buy.

This is a brush like you used to have as a child. No strange modern ergonomic theory here, but proper hard bristles that would rather break than bend. Should make the user (and maybe the user's hair) more disciplined in an instant. Excellent for chest hair too, although it can leave a slight redness.I think young people today are quietly craving this sort of treatment, after all they can't all be in boy bands. It never did us any harm.

Lovely looking wood, natural bristles - It's a beardsman's dream.......unless your beard is short due to styling or age (of the beard, not you). Whatever you do, don't brush a short beard unless you like your face being assaulted by what can only be likened to a physical form of Katie Price's personality. It hurts like a mother***** and as such I cannot and will not recommend it to those with short beards.I have given it five stars because the stiff bristles will probably be fantastic for longer beards and it IS a lovely product.

I gave this military hairbrush to my son as a big hint that he should brush his hair! It was the best quality men's hairbrush that I could find for him...it has real natural bristles and should last for decades as it is such quality. I do not feel there will be many brushes better than this one.He may be a bit young to appreciate the brush , it's quality and the fact that it is a gift for him...but he should.

This has been purchased as a Christmas present so I can't comment on its use. But it looks very smart and arrived in a nice presentation box. It is a bit smaller than I expected, but I do not think this will be a problem. I noticed most reviewers bought this for brushing their beards, but I have bought it as a hairbrush and I think it will serve this purpose well.
