Solid, basic coffee machine.
I bought this to stick on my desk at work (I'm just a little bit too far from the staff room to dash for a quick cuppa) and so far I have been very pleased. Obviously it is basic. The function is manual with no auto cutoff. This means that it is easy to tailor the amount of water you want, but don't think you can have a quick glance at an email or it will catch you out! I use a small cup so it doesn't take too long to fill; 30/40 seconds. As other have stated, you must remove the pod immediately after use or it will swell and get trapped in the machine, you will then end up squeezing cold coffee from the pod when you try to wrestle it out. The coffee pods are okay, I've had worse. The coffee comes out at a good, hot drinking temperature; if you were to add your own cold milk it might be a little too cold. There are no faults I can find with this machine; more idiosyncrasies which you quickly learn to live with. For my needs it is perfect - a small, simple machine which will fit on my desk for a quick coffee between lessons. If I were to be using this at home I might want something with a few more bells and whistles. For the price I have no complaints and would buy another without a second thought if this one broke. So far though, it has been very reliable.

Small and neat.
It's ideal for one person, I get 2 mugs per tank of water. We have hard water so it's best to filter tap water to stop the nozzle from cloging, but it's easy enough to clean the nozzle.

We love this coffee machine is it a lovely size for our small kitchen. We get 2 cups out of 1 tank of water. It’s easy to use even my son loves to use it.

Nice but noisy
Suggestion on Amazon review page is to write something about flavour, easy to clean or easy to use. Really? For a coffee machine? The flavour of the machine? Jeez Amazon, you need to tweak the dumb algorithm...Suggestions are also biased towards the sellers, not to really help the customers. Easy to clean is really an important criteria for a coffee pods machine? I would say the most important criterion are:1. Usefulness - it is useful?2. Value for money - it is being sold for a fair price?3. Reliability - how long/how many cycles it will operate?4. Robustness- how sensitive is to different environment factors (different water qualities, different compatible pods - Costa ones are harder to punch, different operating temperatures, etc)5. Operating easiness - how easy is to assemble, use and clean?6. Look and feel- it is looking good, it is quiet in operation, it feels good when touching, etc?My scores on above-mentioned criteria:1. **** out of *****, because I have a French press as well and sometimes I feel the need to have that kind of coffee instead of a pod one - that depends on the quality of the ground coffee and the flavour versus the available quality and flavours of the pods2. ***** - for £29.00 I think that it has value for money, was the cheapest Dolce Gusto machine at the time.3. ***** - I am making 3/4 coffees per day and after 2 months is still working without signs of wear.4. ***** - it seems it can handle different pods from different brands without spilling the fluid around, like my other pods machine.5. **** - for a technical person it is easy to understand how to assemble it, although the cup support seems to be upside-down, but for a non-technical one, the water tank can be challenging to fit.6. *** - it is looking good, it is nice, but is really noisy during the operation. Also it is tricky to understand how it is working first time - if you don't take out the pod support after plugging in or switching the power on, it won't show any blinking light and you wait like a dumb something to happen. A design improvement is required there, to show a red light so you at least are warned that something needs to be done.It is easy to clean and maintain.I whish Dolce Gusto to have more pods variety themselves. I have found different flavours online, but none tested for now.

Brilliant
It's quicker and cheaper to use than a kettle. You can have hot or cold water. So you can use for hot drinks or even milkshakes.xx

Disappointing
The pod holder keeps getting jammed and needs a lot of force to remove it and change the pod. Was happening for the last few months. Today, it's completely stuck and jammed..can not even force it open ! What a waste of money
