Sahara stars Matthew McConaughey as an adventure seeking explorer who travels to Africa in search of a Civil War ironclad vessel believed to be buried in the middle of the desert. He gets more than they bargained for when he meets a sexy doctor (Penelope Cruz) and ends up joining her crusade to wipe out a devastating plague.
