Needs glare filter
Very nice packaging and neat install, very discrete. Downside is that there is much glare/reflection. It does not have a glare filter available as an option. I chose this over the A119s as it is a bit more modern (micro rather than mini USB). Screen glare is affecting video making it unclear. Have tried in other parts of windscreen and this is the best I can get. Blue band is a sun strip which means that the camera is invisible from the outside. Remote button to 'snap' incidents is excellent feature, when pressed it stores the previous 5 secs and the next 5 secs of video. App is well designed. I used a 1Gb card to start with and that quickly filled and errored. Now have a 32GB class 10 card which means that it doesn't need to be thought about. Cables are routed behind trim to the glovebox and am powering it on the USB cable (XC90) so all is hidden away. There is a new model (mini2p) that has just been released.

Top quality footage
I originally purchased a Thinkware F50 to use as a rear view cam. It doesn't have a screen or wifi app and there was a lot of messing about trying to get it aligned as I wanted. Once it was aligned and I went for a drive, I viewed the footage and it wasn't as clear as I was expecting. I did more research and found the DDPai Mini2 dashcam. It arrived the following day and I fitted it to the rear windscreen of my car. It was easy to line up using the wifi app. I went for a drive along the same route that I'd taken with the F50 and then viewed the footage. I was really impressed - the footage is clear with vehicles and number plates very visible although I have not tried it out at night yet.The following are big plus points -1. Awesome picture quality (Daytime)2. Good app for Android phones.3. Easy setting up due to the app.4. A very useful remote button that can be placed anywhere inside the car and can be used to take a snapshot, which includes up to 30 seconds video. I imagine that this will be very useful if a vehicle is tailgating you on the motorway etc.I haven't given the Minicam2 five stars for the following reasons -1. The camera has to be permanently stuck to the windscreen via a sticky pad. I would prefer it if a seperate mounting plate was included.2. There doesn't seem to be any DDPai system to enable viewing and saving of footage on a Windows laptop. The Android app worked very well for me but the images are small on the phone.3. The power lead is a bit short and I struggled to keep it hidden on its route from the camera to my rear seat power point. All in all, the DDPai Minicam2 is a very big improvement on the Thinkware F50. I will update when I do a nightime drive test.

Recommended.
Very small and unobtrusive unit. Looks a little cheap but looks ok when fitted slightly above rear view mirror. I fitted it to a Ford C-max and the cable was a more or less perfect length. The video quality is very good, better than I expected. I do think I may possibly get The polarizing filter as there is slight window glare. The remote button works well and is a very good idea. The app is good, it worked on my Leagoo M8 pro phone but was not comparable with my Samsung tablet. I did buy a four way USB socket also, to accommodate the dash cam, Sat Nav and 2 phone charging cables. All in all, I can't really fault this dash cam at this price.

Exactly what I needed!
Very discreet, replacement for a previous dash cam which broke, I chose this one as it’s sleek and fits in well in my car, and I was sold at controlling/viewing via my phone rather than having to wait and use my PC/laptop! Very great quality, separate button is stuck behind my steering wheel for quick access to take a picture. Quality of recordings is customisable to however you’d like, I have it at the highest quality. Already been back a few times to review footage and can easily see what’s going on, read numberplates in either day/night situations.

Brilliant piece of equipment.
I would have liked the instructions to be slightly larger and easier to read but you can download them from the internet, the one improvement that I would like is the fitting to the windscreen, if a bracket was attached to the windscreen that the camera slotted into, it would make it easier to attach and detach the cable and remove or replace the sim card. I use the car only a few times a week so it has taken me that long to get used to the functions of the camera but if I can at 78 years of age then anyone can, I use an Android phone and tablet and both work well with the camera, downloading onto your phone is a seperate function and is not automatic even though with a phone linked you can see what is being recorded onto the camera sim card, I also purchased the filter to avoid glare and it was worthwhile.

Amazing dash cam, well worth the price.
Amazing cam, best one i have owned by far, the magnetic design is fantastic. You will need to be savvy with smart phone apps as this cam has no screen but as most people are these days there should be few who struggle. The button is a great addition too.
