The cats seem very happy to use it.The clumping and absorbency is excellent! I've found it easy to scrape off the bottom and sides of the tray, and a sharp tap gets it off the scoop. But I clean the trays several times a day. I can imagine if the tray was cleaned less frequently, it could be like scraping cement so it may not be suitable for someone who can only clean the tray daily. As it clumps strongly meaning all the urine is removed, I expect it will go longer between complete tray changes compared to the non-clumping sawdust which despite scooping gets smelly in a few days.Only given 4 stars as I'm not sure how long the bag will last, and it's very expensive! I'm considering switching, but at twice the price of my existing litter, it's a huge extra spend on our already very costly little furry purries.Upgraded to 5* as this stuff lasts and lasts! We sometimes have splat issues, and this copes with them well.I pick my trays out several times a day and have no issues with stiction. I think this only occurs if you leave the clumps in the tray and they dry out and adhere to the tray. Solution is to pick out the tray every day.When your cat poos, the effluvium will enter the atmosphere and no litter will stop that. But some litters do pong after a few days even if they are picked out. Ugh! Dust, mess and that scratching! Capstan Natural clumping litter was recommended by Which? as being one of the best biodegradable litters, so we've tried it. I recommend it. The clumps of wee can be extricated in one interesting lump and poo is easy to scoop. It does need to be deep so we do get kicked crumbs around the tray but these are easy to brush and vacuum. Its pricey but the litter lasts really well. One downside is the damp litter can stick to the tray and needs a good scrape to clean. Keep the stuff deep though and refill the clumps - all good!
